we bought two of these, not really through choice but because I drop our son off to childcare in the morning, and my hubby picks him up. Previously we'd used a click-in travel system, so both had a base and the actual seat moved between the two cars!! SO - although we considered buying just one forward facing seat, it wouldn't have been practical. We chose these because 1) they have great longevity...up to 11yrs old. Also they appeared really comfortable, and finally easy to install.
They arrived yesterday and I was able to put mine into my car without any problems - the instructions were easy to understand and the whole process did not take long. The seat not only looks nice, but also is very comfortable and provides good support. A GREAT buy in my opinion!!

Have just got this product. I have a couple of other seats and was impressed with the quality of this. It adjusts in many ways. Instructions are very clear. I think my son will enjoy it until he is 11. He certainly looks very comfortable
Others noted difficulty in keeping car belt from twisting whilst loading, but the instructions show exactly how to do it so the belt does not twist and it worked first time for me.
Fits car well and seems very secure. I find that reclining the car seat slighlty then loading the child seat and tightening straps before returning the car's seat to the intended more upright position ensures a good tight fit. (we are only talking about a recline of 1-2 cms - but it means that if you can not easily add weight to the seat and fix the belt, you get a tight fit).
I look forward to using this over a number of years.

I have 2 boys less than 2 years apart so I needed a seat that would grow with the child as the current seat we have is only until 4 years old and the eldest is too small for a booster. This seat met our needs. The only problem I have is that I sometimes struggle to close the catch especially when I'm in a hurry.

I've gone around a few shops and looked at some child carseats but found most of them, if not all, to have very thin padding. As you press on the seats you find them to be extremely hard, leaving you to wonder if you were to drive a car with such a horrible seat you'd definitely find driving to be intolerable. So why make the little people suffer as passengers? I intend to drive long distances with my family, but can't imagine my 2 year old having to sit on something hard and uncomfortable. However, the Britax Evolva ultra 123 Val D'isere on the other hand, is much more comfortable with thinker padding. This is the only reason I've splashed out a hundred-quid on this product. This product is highly recommendable for your child’s travelling experience.

Daughter is 10 months and was spilling out of her 0+ car seat. Decided to get a 123 instead of just size 1 because money is tight at the moment. This Britax one looked much more comfy, supportive and better quality than others. On the plus it is well padded and very comfy, the head rest supports the head and spine very well. It has two positions, upright or slightly reclined, which we are using now for maximum comfort (you need to take the car seat out to change position). On the negative, the harness is really fiddly to adjust and is really tight, so it is a struggle to get in and out at the moment. Hopefully practice will make perfect! I think it suits us as our daughter is on the 91st percentile weight wise (over 10 kg), a 123 would not be suitable for small babies. This is true of all brands though. On the whole I am very pleased with this product.

Daughter is 10 months and already over 10kg and was bursting out of her 0+ seat. Money being tight we decided to go for a 123 instead of just the next size up. We looked for a while as I did not like the quality and support of the other ones. In the end we opted for this seat and I am really pleased with it. It is easy to install, she fits in nicely as she is already quite tall and seems to be very well supported, especially around the head (very important as she is still quite young). The seat is well padded and she likes being sat up properly. The seat has two positions, upright and slightly reclined. We use the latter at the moment for maximum back and head support. To change positions you have to take it out of the car, unlike Britax size 1 seats. The harness is very secure, maybe too much as it is virtually impossible to get her in and out of the seat without loosening the straps each time which is quite hard. Overall, I think it offers good value for money.

Once the seat is in though it's very easy to fit my little girl into the seat and adjust the belts. The features such as the adjustable side that only come with the Ultra are very handy at adjusting the seat although i'm not sure how usefull once my girl gets a little older.

Overall a very good seat and hopefully the only one she'll need from now on :-)

We bought this for our 16 month old daughter, as she previously had a Concord Ultimax X-Line carseat (0-4 years), which is going to be used for the next baby currently on the way. We've had the seat for a month now, and taken it on a UK holiday too, and found the seat is excellent. Its easy to install and we've had it in and out of other cars - so far our Ford Mondeo, a Peugot 307 and a Vauxhall Meriva - no problems. We have it permantly on the recline position (you take it out to adjust to upright), and we find this is the best - upright enough to see out, but reclined enough that her head rest back properly when sleeping - which she has done several times very comfortably! The seat is well padded and adjusts both sidewards and upwards for a tailored fit. Haven't tried cleaning the cover yet, but it seems to repell dirt well. It has cup holders on both sides that slide out from the base, but haven't had the need to use them yet. I am planning to buy another one for the next baby, as the seat grows with them from 9 months to 11 years, converting to a booster seat when they are ready. Seems very sturdy, but not too heavy for lifting out of the car. Buy one!

I really didn't want 2, as I wouldn't get much use out of the second. I am extremely pleased to have found the Evolva 123 car seat, which solves this problem. I will now be able to use both seats for their full lifetimes. It feels really well made and safe. My daughter also loves it - an added bonus!.

Excellent car seat very sturdy. Daughter now loves it and even going to buy another one for my other daughter. I found it very easy to fit into the car. The only thing is the shoulder straps are quite large and my daughter found them quite hard to get used to but other than that excellent. It is very reasonably priced for the amount of time it will be used.

smart looking car seat which seems to be everything we needed so far but as it is up to 11 years won't know for at least another 10 if it last's. Cup holders come in very handy for a very independant little boy to keep his bottle in and toys. find it difficult to get him in to the straps at first due to all the padding all though after a bit of use they get easier.

Easy to set up and install.Whilst my car has Isofix, I chose this seat, as the Isofix model does not have the harness (i.e. the Evolva 2/3), enabling Grand-daughter No 1 who is 2yrs 9 months to move into this new seat, whilst Grand-daughter No2, who is 9 months, can now go into existing Britax Duo Plus Isofix seat Group 1

The seat came ready assembled so was easy to install in the car. As the instructions say you should trial fit the child in the seat to set the shoulder belt height before installing it in the car as after installation this is virtually impossible. Hence as the child grows the seat should be removed from the car to reset this adjustment. As we are grandparents and remove the seat after each use this is no hardship. A choice of colours would have been nice.

Great value, we won't need to buy another car seat for our daughter again. The side head rests are alittle high for the short but fat baby! But all in all our baby loves being able to face the same way as everyone else now and we feel she is safe and secure.

I researched alot of front facing chairs before I settled on this one. This is the chair that Which Magazine recommend even though they do say that any chair is better than no chair. There is a video of a crash dummy in the chair on Which and that was definitely interesting to see how the chair supports your child. The other requirement that I had was that I wanted the chair to last for as long as possible and this one grows with your child (from 9mths to 11yrs). I didn't want to buying another chair in 4 years for the same cost. Definitely have been recommending this to friends - Very pleased !!!

we have another child seat which is for stage two only and it was begining to get too tight for our 3 year old who is slightly taller for her age. so i brought this chair because of its ratings. It is a great chair, very comfy and our daughter loves the space plus she does not sweat so much as the fabric breathes nicely. however there are some slight floors, when our child falls asleep you cannot recline the chair without removing it first which is a pain on long journeys. when the chair is reclined it is not as easy to secure. the only other slight complaint is that with the safety indicator, when you have the straps at the correct tightness, this tab pulls the straps tighter around the legs and waist which makes it a bit uncomfortable.
All this said the chair is still very very good.

Really easy to install (we have a Vauxhall Corsa). Our little boy climbed into the seat as soon as it came out of the packing box. He loves sitting in it, and it looks so comfortable I would like one for myself (adult car seats are nowhere near as supportive). We like the fact that the seat has a long life span, although I would hate to think what the cover will look like when he is 11 as it already has cheese grease on it. However, the cover is removable and washable so the option to 'freshen up' is there. Only downside is the fact that the seat can't be raised or reclined once fitted - you need to decide which way you want to have it before you fix it into the car. That said, the upright position is supportive enough for our little boy (a toddler) to drop off in it, but if you are using the seat for a baby you might prefer to install it in the reclined position.

Instructions could have been clearer. Britax claim full body weight will fit seat in our cars but it was a struggle and I won't be taking it out in a hurry.
Maxi Cosi seem to be designed better than Britax.

This is the second car seat I have bought for 19 month old grandchild. Fantastic product. Easy to get her in and out of the car.First trial was a long journey. Great.Super padding.Even I know when the straps are just right with the special indicator. You cant fail to fit it correctly.Quite heavy so not great for moving between cars.

I bought this for my two year old and he seems very happy and comfortable in this carseat. The only slight niggle I had was installing the seat into the car. It was a bit of a struggle as the seatbelt was too short using the first method given in the instructions and it was quite fiddly using second method. Overall though I am delighted with the quality and safety of this seat.

I highly recommend this carseat! It's great value for money as it should last my child from 9 months to 11 years of age! The seat is forward facing in the backseat of my car which is perfect for my curious toddler and she seems super comfortable. The car seat is not only very safe and sturdy but stylish too and I love it! No bad points about it as far as I'm concerned.
